    Alleyway Podcast Hosting - PlaceDive

    In 2020, Anja won the Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling (COHDS) Award of Excellence in Oral History for her research-creation work, Alley Atlas. She used engagement methods including oral history interviewing and participant observation to understand the community value of an industrial alleyway in downtown Montreal. In 2021, she co-created and hosted the PlaceDive podcast along with researchers Mira Baba and Jose Alavez.

    Community Tour - Jane's Walk Vancouver

    In May 2024, Anja co-created and hosted “Broadway Stories”, a community tour highlighting West Broadway’s hidden stories, past and present. The tour was part of the agenda for Jane’s Walk Vancouver.

    Peer Learning Sessions - Planning Institute of BC (with CSC)

    In June 2024, Anja co-led a series of cross-provincial peer learning sessions for planners dealing with legislative changes in Kelowna, Nelson, Victoria, and Vancouver.

    Latimer Park Facilities Gate - City of Surrey

    In 2024, I designed a public art piece for the Latimer Park public facilities gate. “Huckleberry Breath” was inspired by the symbolism of the fruit, a native species to this part of British Columbia. The design process included collaboration and feedback from the City of Surrey’s environmental department and a botanist group.

    Canada Line Columns - City of Richmond

    In 2021, I designed four panels highlighting the Garden City Lands Park’s native flora and fauna. The columns were on display for six months during which the public was able to interact with them.

    Youth Pop-Up - District of Houston Housing Needs Analysis (with CSC)

    I co-organized and led a series of activities aimed at understanding youth perspectives on housing in Houston. I was also part of a team conducting cafe pop-ups, focus groups, and local governmental meetings to identify key challenges and needs on housing.

    Visioning Workshops - Fraser Region Aboriginal Friendship Centre (with CSC)

    In May 2024, I collaboratively designed and co-facilitated two visioning events aimed at creating a communal vision for a new cultural hub and housing. Workshops worked with FRAFCA elders and members to create a basis from which to build.
